NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa. … Parking plans for the 2018 BMW Championship at Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, were announced today by the Western Golf Association.

The BMW Championship, the penultimate event in the PGA TOUR’s FedExCup Playoffs, will bring the top 70 PGA TOUR players and more than 120,000 spectators to Aronimink Golf Club Sept. 4-9. To ensure a positive experience for all spectators, players and neighbors, several parking and shuttle options are available for BMW Championship attendees including complimentary parking, upgraded parking, and a spectator drop-off and pick-up location.

“With an exciting week of golf, the Western Golf Association aims to provide a first-class spectator experience for all who join us at the BMW Championship, and that begins the moment they arrive,” said Vince Pellegrino, WGA Senior Vice President of Tournaments. “After months of planning with the local township and city officials, we’re pleased to offer spectators a variety of parking and transportation options during championship week. We feel confident our plan will provide a safe, hassle-free experience for all golf fans in September.”

During championship week, shuttle service for all parking lots will run continuously to and from Aronimink Golf Club, starting 30 minutes before the first tee time and concluding approximately one hour after play has concluded.

Pick-Up and Drop-Off (rideshare, taxi, and personal vehicles)
For the shortest shuttle ride, spectators are strongly encouraged to utilize the Pick-Up and Drop-Off location. Both private and hired vehicles dropping off and picking up spectators for the BMW Championship must do so at The Episcopal Academy located at 1785 Bishop White Drive, Newtown Square, PA 19073. Complimentary shuttle service will be provided to and from the BMW Championship from the designated location. Stopping or standing on surrounding roadways is not permitted. There is no parking or staging for vehicles at this location, so please coordinate pick-up times accordingly.

Complimentary Parking
Complimentary parking is located at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, 100 Station Avenue, Oaks, Pa., 19456. Spectators parking in this lot must register here for a complimentary parking pass for each day they will be attending the Championship prior to arriving at the parking lot.

Upgraded Parking (Saturday and Sunday Only)
Upgraded parking is available for spectators on Saturday and Sunday at Delaware County Community College located at 901 Media Line Road, Media, Pa. Vehicles must have the appropriate parking pass to access this lot. Parking passes are $25 and must be purchased here in advance. There will be no on site sales for this lot.

BMW Owners’ Parking
A limited amount of parking is available for BMW Owners driving their BMW vehicles to the tournament. BMW Owners must have the appropriate parking pass to access this lot. Parking passes are complimentary to Owners and are available by registering here. Lot availability is limited, and available on a first come-first served basis.

The BMW Championship is the penultimate event in the PGA TOUR’s FedExCup Playoffs, with the top 70 PGA TOUR players vying to earn one of 30 spots in the season-ending TOUR Championship and the opportunity to be crowned FedExCup champion. The 2018 BMW Championship will mark the first time since 1959 that the event, formerly known as the Western Open, has been contested in the state of Pennsylvania.

Proceeds from the 2018 BMW Championship will be used to fund Platt Evans Scholarships for caddies attending Penn State University and to establish a scholarship house at Penn State-University Park, where scholarship recipients will live together. Since 2007, the BMW Championships has raised $27 million to fund student scholarships for caddies of modest means.
